Miyuki TANIGAWA was born and raised in Kyoto, Japan. She is a textile designer/artist that has chosen the traditional Japanese kimono as her canvas. Although the kimono has a history of some 1200 years, in order to preserve this tradition, Tanigawa ironically hopes to reinvent it.
